About BGMP
BGMP is a repository of human blood group gene mutations, phenotypic data, and immunity-related molecular information derived from the systematic curation of clinical datasets, genetic sequencing results, and literature-based research findings. Since the public release of BGMP 1.0 in December 2024, the database has supported research in transfusion medicine, clinical immunology, and precision healthcare.
Blood group systems
The database encompasses erythrocyte, platelet (HPA), granulocyte (HNA), and Serum Protein (IG) systems. It provides researchers and clinicians with information on antigen expression, genetic mutations, and polymorphisms.
